I Am Back

For two days I have been fighting my internet connection, it was connectile dysfunction...tee-hee. Hopefully it is good to go now, but we can only hope. I will be back at it tomorrow. I have been going absolutely nuts without my connection.

STOP IT!

I am sooooo sick of listening to the media pundits say that they love Obama, but keep the race issue in the forefront. I hear these sanctimonious a/holes say that he has to move beyond the race thing. really? Then shut the f*ck up! The media is the one doing the dance of death on the race issue. They say that Obama needs to talk about the economy or the war or......but they WILL NOT let the conversation move past the race issue.

STOP IT! Try doing the right thing, for once.....I realize that they are controlled by the corporate state, but do not tell me they cannot be more fair in their reporting.

I am sick of the crap they try to force feed me. maybe i am the only one, if so...I am the smartest SOB on the planet.

Dr. Phil

First I want to say that I am still pissed! Yesterday, an important news day and my cable server went down, no internet, that is the pits! Second, I do not normally do too much posting on societal bullsh*t, but this story has me ranting.

Dr. Phil, you know that bald loud mouth that has a show where he supposedly helps people with their personal and emotional problems? It seems this TOAD in an attempt to boost ratings, circumvented security at the hospital where Britney was being held, to try and coerse the broad to appear on his show.

This makes him a QUACK! His desire for better ratings has shown his true colors. It is about the money not about helping people. If he was a true pro he would not need to sneek into Britney's room and try to talk the train wreck into appearing on his show.

It is about time for intervention in his tactics. He should be censured by the professional association that he is a member of and it shoul.d be a public censure

The Day After

T/giving Day was a dismal day for news. If you like fluff then y/day was your day. The only "good" story reported was that all you stoners should be happy, a study has shown that pot smokers are more apt to play sports and be more sociable. That pretty much craps on all the stuff being fed to the public by the "drug free" people. BTW, they are also more creative.

That is about it--I will fire up a fatty and enjoy my day.

The 24 Hour Media

Just thought I would rant once more--since not many read this I can vent a bit and relieve the pressure on my safety valve.

CNN and others bill themselves as a 24 hour media outlet.......thinking.....thinking......no it is not! I am a news junkie and I am always watching or listening to the news and NO channel is a 24 hour news outlet. They record parts of their shows and is shown over and over in the early morning hours.

CNN and their tag line of "All the news you can use" is a waste of words. I mean look at yesterday:

Shooting in Wisconsin
School lock down in Florida
Plane missing in Washington
New Mexico balloon accident

What part of this is national news? At best it is a local story that needs to be covered by local affiliates. Not one of these stories concern a national audience. It is fluff and used so that they can forgo reporting stuff that truly concerns the nation. During these hours nothing happened in Afghanistan? Or Burma? Or Sudan?

Well these organizations are a 24 hour news service-----just not 24 hours in a row.

The Professor Rants

I spend a lot of time trying to give people a perspective, a different perspective; I read and listen and analyze, but all that work is to no avail. I have 5 blogs that I give my slant on world affairs and such, but no matter how you promote their is little to no participation.

I also go to a couple of discussion forums to maybe exchange views with other and maybe to make them think about different things. These sources of aggravation are amazing, you have some that are willing to debate an issue and then you have those that want to be rude and insulting. There are more insults than debates, but I keep going trying to promote my perspectives. It is getting to the point that I am gonna chuck it all into a dumpster somewhere.

I have a couple of people that are reading and commenting on my blogs and to them I say thank you and I appreciate their participation, but if others are reading my blogs, they do not post. I am beginning to think that it is that they are afraid of a face to face, that they will hide in a forum and jump out and insult and then slink back into the crowd.

I just wish that I could get more people reading my blogs and maybe some of them would actually participate, that is why I started so many of them. Dreaming I guess, but it is better than not giving a sh*t!

A Rememberance

Oh God! Here we go! Last week it was Diana and now today there will be endless reports on 9/11. Do the American people need to be reminded of the day? Are they that short sighted that they could forget the day? Why must we be consumed with death?

With that I ask, was it a coincidence that the general's report came the day before 9/11? Or is it just the plan, that is to keep the "Fear Card" in the minds of the people? Where does this whole thing end? For a society that cares little about the aged, we are all consumed with the death of others, why? At what point does the obsession with death become perverted?

Do the people that were killed on that day deserve recognition? Yes, they do! But that is for the families to decide, not the media or anyone else. By turning it into a media circus, they are lessening the deaths.

Just my thoughts on the "day of infamy".

No Child Left Behind

One of Bush's many failed policies.

No Child Left Behind.

This was the Bush educational policy. It is scary! By now all have seen the video on youtube of Miss Teen South Carolina ans her answer on why American students are not as proficient in geography as other nations. In case you are in the dark, her answer was a shortage of maps. Since she is 17 yrs old, that makes her a product of the Bush educational policy.

Another scary thing pertaining to the Bush policy is the ad for a company that lends students money for college. The ad points out that a lot of students fall short of the required monies for college The ad gives a multiple choice question with answers. The answers are:

A--search couch for loose change.

B--sell a kidney

C--play the lottery

D--call said company for a loan.

It is so bad that the ad guy gives the correct answer of D. It is an ad for a company and the company's name is one of the answers and yet they have to give the correct answer. Does not bid well for the "No Child Left Behind" program.

Does not say too much for the intelligence of the grads that will move on to college. Keep in mind these will be our future leaders. If that does not scare you then you are a product of the Bush educational policies.

CHUQ

Note: since I wrote this they have changed the answers a bit. Apparently, someone tried to sell a kidney to go college. Now the "B" answer is sell ad space on his body. Again must they be reminded that the answer would be "D"? It is an ad for "said " company for God's sake.

When Is It Time To Let Them Die?

What is it about people that have this morbid streak that refuses to let people die? Elvis, Di, so on. We must relive their lives over and over and over....OK Di was a wonderful person, a good mother and do-da, but she is dead. Why not let her die in peace? We are bombarded with stories, she died 10 yrs ago. Why? Is the retention of information by the people so bad that they must be reminded over and over ..........?

Elvis---the same. Only he died 30 yrs ago and he is still a big draw. Somebody is making money on his memory. Let him die. If he was that important to the people--he WILL be remembered.

Do you remember Audrey Hepburn? Yes, she was a movie star. But beyond that she was a great humanitarian that was a special envoy for the UN. Do you remember anything she did? Probably not! She was not the glamour that you seek. She was just a great person that did not want to publicize everything she did.

You let her die, now when will it be time to let the rest die?

Katrina--2 Years Later

And thew beat goes on. Since I lived through the storm and am well aware of its damage and destruction, I prefer not to relive it yearly. But since politicians are making it good media fodder and I feel I need to address some of the bullsh*t the American people are handed.

First, progress is not being made--destruction is still everywhere. The government has been no help. Developers descend on the MS Gulf Coast and started sucking up land that dreams laid broken on. The only progress being made is profits, the people are still just as bad off as they were a month after the storm.

Your President, I use that term because after the storm I called for the area from Texas border east to Jacksonville and a distance of 50 miles north to remove itself from a Union that cares nothing about its welfare. So Bush is not my president. He uses, like all politicians the area of Katrina to make talking points and a photo op. No one has sat dwn and told the people how they would be saved from the US government.

I have a novel suggestion--DO SOMETHING and then we will talk about the results!

A Suggestion For A Bush Library

From time to time, I have these thoughts that I just feel I must put down somewhere before I forget them. So here goes.

Years ago when I heard that the Nixon Library was being built I wanted to suggest that instead of a door for entrance into it, the visitors should enter by crawling through a window. I do hope you get my humor. well that was before the popularity of the internet so now I have a thought for the inevitable Bush Library-----to gain entry to his new library people should be attached to a polygraph and asked a question, if they lie they may enter; if they tell the truth, they fall thru a trap door into a pile of poop.

Just a thought from the lack of caffeine.

A ChuqSpeak

Hopefully, you are a frequent reader and know that this feature is where I rant about words and the way they used by society, media, et al.

In todays news the Cat 5 Hurricane Dean is all the talk. I even heard the mnedia call it "a potentially catastrophic" storm. "Potentially catastrophic"? a Cat 3 storm, Katrina, did $81.5 billion in damage and Dean is a Cat 5. So I think the use of the word "potentially" is pretty f*cking stupid!

Do you recall this bridge that fell in Minnesota? 13 people died and the media has called it a catastrophic occurrance. Again 13 people died, a sad thing indeed, but a catastrophy? Again, it was not a catastrophy, it was a damn shame and could have been avoided, but to use the term catastrophic is just plain f*cking stupid!

I say--MEDIA! Stop assigning titles to diasters! Just report the f*cking news and let the knowledge speak for itself.

On a side note---the governor of Minn said on CNN that the down bridge was costing the economy $21 million. thinking...thinking...was it a toll bridge? Where and why are they losing that much money? Is there no other bridges across the river that can be used? This story is starting to look like a continuation of the bullsh*t started with Paris and Lohan.

Thanx I feel better now; a good bitch is always a good thing. Damn, I love my job!

It is time to ask the hard questions!

Why do most prescription drugs end in "X"? Like Celebrex, Advanix, etc. I am sure it is some grand marketing scheme, but it escapes me right now.

Just a thought!

ChuqSpeak

This is my first post in this new feature. It will show up just about anywhere. So beware.

The general that did not do the right thing about Pat Tillman; he may lose a star and some money. Why? Because he gave "misleading information". (thinking....thinking....)

The "elites" give misleading information; the average person lies.

But wait there is more!

Ditech has this mortgage ad on TV where they push that it is a 6.125% loan but yet it is a 6.403% APR. Now which is it?

Guess what? Do you recall the "abstinance" pledge that they pushed into the schools? You recall the sex ed of the Bush Admin, right? It worked so well that the incidents of oral sex rose by 60% and there was a 40% rise in anal sex. Good job guys!

A New Plan--A Rant

Ft Lewis Washington will stop having memorial services by the units effective, from now on they will have one service monthly for all. (thinking....thinking....) What a pile of steamin' shit! Once again Bush and the Boyz do not want the face of war to be seen. Another lame f*cking attempt to sweep the deaths under the rug. Ted Koppel got into trouble because he wanted to show the faces of the dead in these wars.

well supporters of war--why are you afraid to look into the eyes of the people you have sent to their deaths? This is unacceptable and if you do not have a problem with this--then you are a coward! Face your decisions! And please stop tearing up when you talk about the war dead! That ploy is getting old and you do not look sincere!

It's Legal!

There is alot happening around the world; Gaza is going to crap, Iraq is crap and so on. But listening to the news today on thing caught my attention; Nevada has just made cockfighting illegal. That leaves only Louisiana where the fighting of chickens is legal. Really? Yes, really! Where do you think Popeye's gets the chickens to fry?

This story made me think of the time I was introduced to a thing in South Louisiana called a "chicken drop". This like cockfighting is a gambling thing. What is it? OK, there is a large barn, if you will and a large board, similiar to a football pool board, is painted on the floor. Each square has a number in it, sometimes there is other ways of doing this, but when I was exposed to it this was it. Everyone antes up, you pick a number or such; once the board is full a guy comes in with a chicken, a live chicken, he then shakes it up and squeezes it and then tosses it onto the board. There is losts of cheering, yelling, cussing, etc until the chicken CRAPS! The winning number is where the crap lands.

This is a big party with lots of food, drinks and so on. It was good fun and really enjoyable.

The Day The Earth Stood Still

I wish I was talking about the 50's movie, but unfortunately I am talking about Paris Hilton. I have thought about this a bunch, well not really, but anyway, if the American people would show this much interest and concern for their country and their political system we would be a better place for it.

Look at today's stories--Paris has a court date--then she will do it from home--then she will have to show in court, then the judge sends a car for her, then she is put in handcuffs, like that has not happened in her bedroom, and then...........on and on. Ok what is the deal with this broad? Parents are worried about what TV and the movies are teaching their kids, but yet this microcephalic bitch is allowed air time. She is telling the young that she is special. can get special treatment, and does not need to take responsibility for anything.

I am most upset in the fact that news and death and violence and so forth and so on is happening all over the world, but yet this blonde dink gets all the ait time.

I can only pray that the observation made by Russell Baker, when he said, " Live by publicity, you'll probably die by publicity". We can only hope that Miss Paris falls pray to this.

And Yet Another Rant

Hopefully everyone is watching the drama play out in the Sacramento River, two Humpback whales, a mother and her young, are a bit confused at where they are. Different organizations have different plans to try and coax the two back down the river and into the Pacific. So far not much has worked. Do not fret for now, they do not seem to be in any danger, right now, but people are concerned and would like to return them to their habitat.

Since nobody has been successful and the situation is leaving the bunch scratching their heads. I have a suggestion, take a copy of the last Repub debate and play it for them, that should drive them away and back to the ocean. If that does not work, try a blown up pic of Gov. Thompson, with all the rouge and such, that would definately scare the ba-jesus out of them.

Just a thought.
