Weekly News UpDate

This past week has been one of the most dismal weeks for "real" news I have ever encountered. According to the big 4 media outlets in the US, the rest of the world stopped existing for a week. b And yet you still believe there is a free press. HA!

This news
No one could use!

1--UK Queen celebrates 60th wedding anniversary--do you care, no really?

2--Scientist find a claw from a prehistoric bug--it would have been 8 ft long. That is not a record--go South and take look at the roaches.

3--*YAWN* The Holloway case is back in the news. They are arresting the same people all over again.

4--Drs, remove a 10 lb hair ball from a woman's stomach. I got nothing on this one.

5--Hulk Hogan's wife files for a divorce.

That is about it for the weekly news--OH YEAH--Southern Calif is on fire--AGAIN!

Do you feel that you are informed?

Professor's Classroom

Hiya! Another Monday morning, another quizz.

I will change it up a bit. What was the first music video? Who performed and the name of the song? And in what year?

NOTE: Not the first on played on MTV, but the first one shot.

Good luck and have a day!

Why Not Report The Good?

The media focuses on the train wrecks of Lindsay, Britney and other yuppie larva. I guess it is all about ratings. recently I did a piece on the singer Shakira. She attends college and is a good student and has a heart to help people without being forced into "community service".

The latest is Briney has lost kids, may lose dogs and is speeding up the charts with a new song. Lohan is being named in a divorce because she shagged a guy in the bathroom at rehab and wifey found out. Now Lohan is being popped with hit and run charges to go along with the coke and other stuff. Worthless, C word!

Meanwhile back at reality, Shakira has pledged $40 million for the victims of an earthquake in Peru and the hurricane in Nicaragua. As well as, she has a $5 million commitment for projects to alleviate child poverty in the region. Here is one of the few in the music business that is actually trying to make a difference in the world and she gets no credit for her efforts. rather we are bombarded with the endless trivial crap known as Lohan, Brtiney and Paris. These are the poster child that the media is force feeding to your kids. Personally, I would want my kid to know about the good and leave the ugly out of it.

How To Avoid A Trainwreck

May I see a show of hands from those that have been watching the trainwrecks known as Paris, Britney and Lohan? Just about every- f*cking- body. COOL!

Now let us talk about Latin singing star Shakira. This young lady, OK I will admit a cutie with a great set of hips, but other than the obvious, she has helped build schools and kids programs in her native Columbia. Now she is enrolled in a Western civilization class at UCLA. Her prof, who did not know who she was until recently, has said that she is a very good student. She has taken other classes as well.

So to those that condemn these entertainers like Britney and Lohan, should see that not all are the fluff whores that the gruesome threesome portray. Maybe these air headed bimbos should take a page from Shakira's book on life. Apparently she is handling it better than anyone of the others.

But the more I think about those 3 going back to school, they would just resort to the time honored practice of f*cking your way to an "A". At least, they would be doing something constructive with their lives, instead of trying to go through it on auto pilot.

My hat is off to Shakira for her handling her life. There needs to be more role models like her. it is just ashame that this type of story gets very little play, instead we had rather hear about the personal trainwrecks of the Fluff Whores! Society is just f*cking sick!

I be done--Peace--Out!
